Cheap
NASCAR Tickets?
Here's the
places to find them!
Here's
your best sources for tickets at reasonable prices,
along with helpful hints about each source:
Online Agents:
(see the table at left): Many NASCAR Nextel Cup races are sold
out a year or more in advance, but there are still several ways to get
Nextel Cup tickets. Large blocks of NASCAR tickets are purchased by commercial
resellers (you'll see their ads on the left). Often, however, they not
only charge a hefty premium for their tickets, but add often outrageous
shipping and handling charges as well. If money is no object, these resellers
may be your best bet. Make sure you check out all of them- prices can
vary widely.
Track Tickets:
The tracks themselves also sell tickets online. On our Nextel
Cup Tracks page, you'll find links to their home pages as well as
track seating charts. (A few of the tracks have really neat 3D, interactive
charts that will show you your view of the track from any place in the
stands.) TIP:
We've found that actually visiting the track office often produces better
results than ordering online, as they are the first to receive cancellations.
In one case, we walked in and purchased tickets for a sold out race that
others had been waiting for for years. The office staff had just that
morning received a cancellation, and we were in the right place at the
right time. Go to our Nextel Cup Track Page
for complete information and track links.

A NOTE ABOUT SEATING: Always
check your seat location, not just for the view, but also in relation
to the nearest food court, restrooms, stairs, track entrance and parking.
If you've never been before, you'll quickly discover that ticket pricing
for these tracks is just the opposite of most sporting events: the
higher your are (and thus farther away from the action), the more expensive
the ticket. Supposedly this is because you get a better view of the track,
but we've found that higher is not always better- in fact, our
favorite seats are between rows 10 and 30.
And don't forget to ADD
ANOTHER $20 AT LEAST
for parking and/or bus fees!
